To achieve "Net-Zero Emissions by 2050", the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs is actively promoting industrial and SME upgrading and transformation. This initiative aims to strengthen the economic resilience and competitiveness of Taiwanese enterprises. In 2023, by consolidating cross-departmental resources, the IDB launched the "Large-Lead-Small Manufacturing Low-Carbon and Smart Transformation Subsidy Program". This program invites enterprises and their supply chains to apply jointly, offering "1+4 Smart Transformation Subsidies" and "1+10 Low-Carbon Transformation Subsidies", with a maximum grant of NT$30 million for project applications. To drive the development of the automotive supply chain, China Motor Corporation (CMC), along with 11 suppliers—Hosan, Mao Hsiung, Ying Ming, Jiang Shin, Wu Hsiang, YU LIAN, Tai Yu Rubber, Hsin Chang Mechanical, Taiwan GS, Chun Yuan Steel, and Tai Young Endurance—jointly received the "Large-Lead-Small" project subsidy from the IDB. In the future, they will collaborate on 41 energy-saving equipment carbon reduction transformation projects, with a total investment of NT$110 million, demonstrating their determination to promote an ESG ecosystem.
